    Ann Marie Hart, APRN

    Medical Director & Primary Care Provider

    Ann Marie Hart is a professor and the nurse practitioner program director at the University of Wyoming’s Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing. Ann Marie has been at Downtown Clinic since the clinic first opened in 1999, stating ‘serving at the Downtown Clinic is the highlight of her week!  She loves working with the clinic's amazing clients and collaborating with its top-notch volunteers and staff!

    Michael Comly, M.D.

    Primary Care Provider


    Dr. Comly made a promise to Dan Klien, M.D., to provide care to individuals in need. He has kept his promise, providing high-quality care to DTC clients since 2004. He has won the National Jefferson Award for volunteering and is a key supporter of the DTC and Hospice of Laramie.

    Amy Robohm, APRN

    Primary Care Provider

    Amy joined the DTC team in the fall of 2023. She has been a family nurse practitioner for almost 30 years. She is a strong community advocate with a passion for client care. She believes in life-long learning, consistently growing with her inspiring clients and dedicated colleagues.

  • Lisa Painter, NP

    Primary Care Provider

    Lisa has been working in healthcare for 45 years. As a nurse, she worked in public health and HIV care in the 90s. She became a Nurse Practitioner in 1998 and have worked for the past 25 years in oncology. She speaks Spanish fluently, having lived in Spain as a child. Lisa says, volunteering at the Downtown Clinic has been a privilege for her that she hopes to continue.


  • Lawrence Jenkins, M.D.

    Orthopedic Surgeon

    Dr. Jenkins began providing Orthopedic care to The Downtown Clinic in 2007 while still a practicing surgeon at the Premier Bone and Joint Clinic. After retirement in 2016 and moving to Steamboat Springs, CO, he continues to provide Orthopedic services at the clinic on a monthly basis. He finds this work extremely rewarding and loves helping this very special underserved population.

    Lead Pharmacy Intern

    Madison joined the DTC team in the summer of 2025. She supports the medication dispensing site and mentors the other Medication Dispensing interns and the volunteers. Originally from California, Madison has found a home in Wyoming and enjoys the community she’s found in Laramie.

    Kara Laughlin, BSN, RN

    Client Care Coordinator

    Kara joined the DTC in 2017. She graduated from the University of Portland nursing program in 2000 and proceeded to work in Primary Care in the U.S. and New Zealand. She has a passion for providing high-quality care, developing rapport with clients, and creating the Downtown Clinic vaccination program.

  • Mary Beth Stepans

    Mary Beth Stepans graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1972 and then, with a master’s degree in 1989. She went on to obtain a PhD in nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C in 1996. With a background in maternity nursing at Ivinson Hospital and primary care in Pinedale and Laramie, she taught at UW School of Nursing until 2007. Her research during that time focused on breastfeeding and protecting infants from cigarette smoke. After working as the Practice and Education Consultant at the Wyoming State Board of Nursing, she returned to teaching for Walden University. In retirement, she manages the ranch her parents purchased in Colorado in the 1950s. She is committed to restoring and protecting the earth as a healthy place for all beings to live. In her role at the Downtown Clinic that commitment is extended as she assists clients to identify ways to live that lead to improved health and well being.

    Anastasiia Corley, MSW, MA, PCSW

    Social Worker

    Anastasiia joined the Downtown Clinic as an intern in 2021. She received her Master’s in Communication at the University of Wyoming in 2015. She worked in Education, which led to her desire to pursue a career in Social Work. She received her MSW in 2022 and is working towards a clinical social work license.

    Mental Health Counselor

    Gary is a Licensed Professional counselor who started volunteering at at the Downtown Clinic in May of 2019. He received his M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Chadron State College. He has retired from the Albany County School District #1 as a school counselor, and he has been a weekend therapist on the behavioral health unit at Ivinson Memorial Hospital for 22 years, while having a small private practice. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing yoga, gardening, reading and listening to music. He also loves bad dad jokes.

    Pete Gosar, B.A.

    Executive Director

    Pete has engaged with the DTC since 2011. He has served as a reception volunteer, a board member, and as the executive director since October 2015. Pete is an advocate for community health and has always been drawn to the mission of the DTC, “All Deserve High-Quality Healthcare”. He is extremely proud of the level of care provided by clinical staff and volunteers and is routinely inspired by the compassion and dedication by which the care is delivered.

    Simona Sheets, MPA

    Assistant Director


    Simona joined DTC in May 2024. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with her Master of Public Administration degree, with a focus in nonprofit organizations. Some of her favorite parts of working at the DTC include intern and volunteer management, event planning, and growing alongside her community. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with friends, family, and dogs.

    Jaron joined the Downtown Clinic team in January 2025. In addition to serving as the first point of contact for patients at the front desk, he provides interpretation services to support our Spanish-speaking community.

    Donal

    Patient Assistance Program Volunteer

    Donal works as a DTC volunteer.  He prepares applications on behalf of clients who need prescribed medications.  Donal says, “It is gratifying when these are approved, and medicines become available at no cost.  Having volunteered at other non-profits around Laramie, this is my favorite due to the esprit of DTC colleagues, and their can-do approach to health care.”
